"Provençal Painted Console, 18th Century"
Console in painted wooden style Rocaille. This piece of furniture is probably a Provencal work. The sculptor worked on a soft wood, walnut or mulberry. The sleepers are curved and openwork. The very fine and nervous sculptures make this console a very decorative piece of furniture. Old molded marble that had to be reworked on its surface. The bottom spacer is posterior. 18th century.
