Life size bust in patinated plaster depicting Mr P. De Carpentin. signed behind Comperot Fécit 1837, I attribute this signature to the sculptor Claude François Comperot (1786-1869), sculptor, ornemantist, born in Saint Germain-en-Laye, who worked on the exterior decoration of the Louvre during the second empire.accidents and lacks but no restorations.
Very decorative and representative of the aristocratic busts of the 19th century.
