Saber of honor of officer of Big Cavalry, given by the First Consul to the citizen Dourtre. Silver mount. Wooden handle covered with black lacquered stingray with silver filigree. Oval pommel with melon ribbing, short skirt engraved with spider star. Guarded to a branch and shell with palm leaves, type battle guard, adorned between the palmettes, plain plate punched with quillon chiselled in shell. Blade curved white polished flat back, gutters, against cutting edge and tails, stamped on the heel, engraved "M ... Klingenthal Cloulaux Frères Entrepse". Sheath made of sheet steel with two large silver bracelets engraved with trophies, foliage, two silver studs and two iron rings. Dart in molded button. The top of the scabbard is engraved on the front "The First Consul at Ce Doutre" and, on the back, "MFre at Versailles Entrepse Boutet ...
