Bronze Medallion Adam Mickiewicz Adam Mickiewicz1, born December 24, 1798 in Zaosia or Nowogródek in Imperial Russia (today in Belarus) and died November 26, 1855 in Constantinople, is a Polish poet and writer, considered one of the most greatest romantic poets. He spent a large part of his life in France and was a professor at the Collège de France at the same time as Jules Michelet
