Alexandre Kostanda, Vase With Stylized Leaf Decor And Geometry

This vase is a fine example of the work of Alexander Kostanda, with a stylized leaf decoration complemented by a blue geometric decoration. Kostanda (1921-2007) is one of the most famous Vallauris, he opened his studio in 1953 and contributed to the recognition of Vallauris by presiding for a long time the AVEC (Vallaurian Association for the Expansion Ceramics) of his stay in Cluny during the war, he kept a mixture of sandstone in the red clay of Vallauris, which puts his production apart in that of Vallauris. This charming little vase is in perfect condition.
