"Box Adorned With A Tiger Eye."
This charming pillbox or pill box, oval, is set on the lid of a tiger eye. In silver 800/1000 it is adorned on all its surface of fine guillochures, at its base and on the edge of the lid is a frieze of laurel leaves. This stone is called "tiger's eye" because it evokes the eye of this animal. It is given many virtues and properties, it is reputed to repel black magic and the evil eye, it protects against backbiting and negative thoughts. Dimensions length 4 cm, width 3.3 cm,
