Superb piece of Russian silverware from the late nineteenth century of ancient inspiration. Beautiful sterling silver basket under 84 zolotniks (875/000). The container is shaped like a cushion, with a remarkable work of hammering, all resting on 4 feet in the shape of Sphinxes. The representative Cove of Cariatides. Work of Russian silversmith ND Yanichkin in Saint Petersburg. Mark of the tester Ivan Vonifatiyevich Yevstigneyev in Saint Petersburg, dated 1889.
