Important Pair of porcelain vases by Jules Tieles probably for Sèvres period late nineteenth style decor of the first Empire with polychrome and gold depicting Napoleon Bonaparte's military campaigns in the reserves signed by the painter-decorator Maxant richly framed by golden scrolls, the lapels and peaks are adorned with a golden eagle with spread wings encroaching a thunderbolt, the elegant burgundy baluster shape is animated on all sides by a semi of golden bees evoking an expensive symbol to the Emperor and embellished by its capital N initial at the top and the base, the whole is adorned with gilded bronzes. Good condition, note a lid discreetly glued. Dimensions: 67 cm high X 19 cm wide.
