Foundry Mold For Religious Medals
When I bought this object, I thought it was a mold with wafers as we sometimes find in flea markets, often confused with molds to forget.
The lover of beautiful scrap that I am could not resist his purchase and I made the check before wanting to take it to the car and there! Ouch! What is heavy!
No need to make such a heavy mold for cooking the unleavened bread for the hosts.
So I scratched my head and after many reflections deduced that it was therefore a mold with medals, bronze or lead. These bore on the obverse Christ on the cross and on the reverse a sign resembling a Greek Y.
140 cm fully deployed, 70 X 23 X 9 cm closed.
Weight: very heavy!
Do not hesitate to ask for photos or additional information by mail or phone.
