"Lamp, Porcelain And Lacquer, Japan Nineteenth Century."
This porcelain lamp is partly lacquered, baluster shaped and provided with a long neck, lacquer is released on the belly and on the neck to form on both sides two reserves. Inside these, on a background of blue and white porcelain, there is a landscape decoration painted with a wading bird and peonies enhanced with lacquer. The background is lacquered with geometric patterns of red, black and brown colors enhanced with gold threads. It has a bronze patinated bronze mount. Mid-nineteenth century. In good general condition some small lacquer failures are to report. Dimensions: the lamp alone measures 45 cm and the whole with the lampshade 69 cm.
