Rare and splendid wood veneer dresser with front and curved sides. Very nice manufacturing on oak frame and beautiful thickness of veneer It has heavily arched amounts and opens to 5 drawers spread over 3 rows: the top in 3 parts with the center a secret drawer. It is inlaid in contrived thread of violet wood in compartments of rosewood. Beautiful garniture of gilded and chiselled bronzes with foliage and rockeries. The floor is capped with a pink brown marble, veined gray molding and beak corbin. Marble, bronzes and locks are original. Stamp of Pierre BONNEMAIN and punch of Jurande JME on the right side crossbar. The dresser that we present is similar to the early Louis XV style, around 1740. Pierre BONNEMAIN, Parisian cabinetmaker, born in 1723 is received Master July 23, 1751. We know little furniture of this cabinetmaker who had his studio rue Traversière.
