The painting has a Munigarde label on the back. Anton Solomukha was born on November 2, 1945 in Kiev, Ukraine, to a family of the Soviet intelligentsia. He entered the Kyiv Institute of Fine Arts at the end of his secondary education and at the faculty of icon restoration where he became acquainted with philosophy and religion. In 1971, he was admitted to the workshop of Academician Y. Yablonska. In 1973, he graduated as a monumentalist painter. In 1978, he decided to emigrate to France, he lives and works in Paris since that time.
