Laurent De La Hire, or De La Hyre is one of the major artists of the French school of the seventeenth century. He is one of the twelve founding members of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. These paintings and drawings represent scenes drawn from antiquity or mythology. The quality of his work and the rarity of the works attributed to him on the market in the background one of the most sought-after painters.
