"Lac Léman Signed Godchaux"
Oil on canvas signed Godchaux Emile featuring a lively view of Lake Geneva. Dimensions without frame: 89x65 cm. Frame: 11 cm. Emile Godchaux (1860-1938). Born in 1860 and perhaps from the family of the sculptor Roger Godchaux. He is often confused with Alfred Godchaux, Lyons painter who at the same time painted on similar themes and in a fairly close invoice. His favorite themes were the ports, the cliffs of the Normandy coast, the Atlantic beaches animated by fishermen and boats, the mountainous landscapes taken on the ground, in the Pyrenees and in Savoy, Venice. His skies are tumultuous, his characters in fisherman costumes or peasants end of the century. The material is beautiful, generous and dense, the drawing robust in its schematism. Delivery possible.
