Mirror trumeau fireplace Louis XVI, carved wood background lacquered green and gold. Pilaster uprights decorated with crossed ribbons at the base linking rudent grooves with asparagus tips. The summit of the pilasters and uprights simulate a winding pediment holding draped garlands, flanked by the damping of falling foliage. The cornice is carved with large sheets of water arranged in plamettes. The base of the uprights has a broad winding decorated with a rose centered and surmounted by acanthus leaves. Skirting board surmounted by a large acanthus leaf molding resting against a carved base of a surrounding pearls Fully pegged mounting with parquet mirror. Work of excellent quality. The uprights as well as the bottom rail and the cornice are carved into a single panel with large section. Gilding cleaned and restored in its original brightness, visible on other photos on demand.
