Seventeenth century, long steel spike of 20.5cm + 10cm, turned ferrule, fitted like a dagger, in a handle octagonal section of stacked horn, reinforced with brass clamps. The sheath is embossed brass, decorated with urns and foliage. The blade of this spade is open under the point, forming a groove with notched edges like an inner harpoon.
Dimensions = 32.5cm and 2cm.
