Set in earthenware decorated with grotesques (or Italian majolica) on a white background including a tray, a water jug and 4 cups (or mugs). These pieces are illustrated in the book "Faience of Gien forms and decorations" by Michèle-Cécile Gillard published by Massin.
2 mugs bear the mark of Gien of 1860, 2 mugs and the tray bear the marks of Gien of 1871 and the water pot is not marked. The ensemble is in perfect condition.
