Superb and rare head of Christ in polychrome wood, Italian work of time XVIII. This work of great realism is finely carved, presented with open mouth, the Christ almost gives the impression of being "smiling" which is all the more rare. The polychrome remains in excellent condition and a great realism and original sulphide eyes accentuate this realism. High quality work and presented on a recent base.
