Three arums, stems and flowers, stand out and enclose the body of the planter-shaped flask of cone flared.
Other arums and dense foliage almost completely cover the surface. A black circle delimits the edge of the top of the vase separating the matt earth floor from the shiny enamel decoration of the interior. Signature "Montières" black enamelled down on one side, traces of old labels underneath
A cache-pot with arums, close to ours, although without high relief, appears in the work of Mr. Pierre Monier dedicated to his grandfather Charles Adzir TROUILLOT who would probably have modeled for the pottery of Saint Clement in Lunéville (see reproduction). Charles Adzir TROUILLOT (1869 - 1953) modeler, sculptor, ceramist, an artist whose name is found on the first letterhead of ceramic Montières in Amiens.
The link with our model is therefore more than likely.
It is in a good state of conservation (tiny égrenures under a petal of arum, as well as two others and a brightness barely visible on two interiors of stems). Preserved since in the family of one of the decorators of the time.
Made in Amiens between 1917 and 1919
Height: 25 cm Diameter: 40 cm
