Rare set consisting of 5 plates and 1 round dish, with contoured edge, in porcelain of the East India Company, decorated with enamels of the rose family enhanced with gold of the alliance coat of arms of the Breton families Visdelou de Bonamour * and Boschat d 'Uzel, wing decorated with busts in medallions and rich floral friezes, Qianlong period around 1765 XVIIIth century. These plates and this dish are in good condition and are of an exceptional quality. The decor and colors are of great finesse. A report: small sparkle on the edge of a plate, tiny égenure on the back of a plate, tiny small gaps and enamel jumps on polychrome decorations and gilding, some enamelling defects, wear of time, look at the photos (see red arrows). * These coats of arms are referenced in A. Lebel's book "French and Swiss Arms on Chinese Porcelain in the 18th Century" (page 133). These are the coat of arms of the Marquis Visdelou de Bonamour and the Boschat d'Uzel family, both from Brittany. Representative on the left: Argent, with three heads of sand wolf, torn and langued Gules; Right: sand, cat passing ermines. Support: two lying wolves. This service was commissioned for François-César de Visdelou de Bonamour, lord of Liscoët. He was captain of the king and in 1782 he was amputated of the left leg on the "Duke of Burgundy" in a naval fight with the English. He was promoted Knight of St. Louis. He married on April 11, 1755 Marie-Madeleine Boschat d'Uzel, daughter of Mathurin ennobled in 1768 and Françoise Grangiens. Mathurin worked as a groomer and was one of the most important of the Quintin Royal Canvas Factory in Brittany.
