Edmond DELPHAUT (1891-1957) is an artist (painter and sculptor) who made several sculptures in memory of the soldiers of the Great War at the request of French and German communities. In Königsbrück in Germany, he made a memorial to Serbian prisoners, which was the first of his important works. In fact, he took part in the great 1914-1918 war where he was taken prisoner and detained in Königsbrück camp, where he worked with prisoners of different nationalities, including Serbs. He proves, by this pastel, his mastery of painting.
