He was a scholar of the city of Montpellier, student of E. Michel, Delauney, G. Moreau, Cormon and White. He regularly exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français where he became a member from 1904. Among other awards he won the second Prix de Rome, an honorable mention in 1903 to French artists, a third class medal in 1909 and a medal of 'gold. He was decorated with the Legion of Honor. He is known for his nude portraits.
