it is a pair of beautiful decorations applique, carved in high relief and representing baskets filled with fruit: apples, pomegranates, pineapples, oranges, figs, bananas, bunches of grapes, etc...
The baskets are carved with wickerwork woven on which are intertwined garlands of finely made flowers ending in ribbons.
the handles of the baskets are held by long ribbons in which are interwoven foliage and also ending in large knots, all inspired by the Louis XVI style. these two large beech sculptures form a rather imposing and unexpected decor.
be careful they are large 150 cm high by 60 cm.
