Eutrope Bouret, born April 16, 1833 in Paris and died September 30, 1906 in the 11th arrondissement of the same city1, is a French sculptor. In the ancient Greek religion Hermes was the messenger of the gods, the protector of travelers, merchants, thieves, herds. He was known for his speed and cunning. ... Hermes would be the son of Zeus and Maïa daughter of the titan Atlas. He would have been born in Arcadia.
