"Ceremonial Egg"
This ostrich egg, decorated in medallion with the portrait of Paul Kruger (1825-1904), icon of the history of South Africa, is, obviously, a tribute to the character, President of the Republic of Transvaal, leader of the Boer resistance against the British Government, and who personifies the image of the "freedom fighter". It is supported by a very decorative silver-plated pommel, consisting of a branch armonously foliated which arises from a circular base decorated with leaves, insects and flowers, posing on three legs anthropomorphic. An elegant statuette of ostrich finely carved, standing on the base, completes this object of decoration.
