François GARNIER
Father of the famous cabinetmaker Pierre Garnier, François Garnier worked rue du Faubourg-Saint Antoine where he was sworn of the corporation of carpenters-cabinetmakers from 1742 to 1744.
The use of the stamp is not mandatory during the beginning of his career, few books could be attributed with certainty. However the signed furniture that we find are very meticulous and a real talent.
He died in Paris in 1774 rue des Moineaux.
