Printed fine earthenware coffeepot depicting fire and water. Height: 24cm The faience of Creil-Montereau is a ceramic production from the municipalities of Montereau, in today's department of Seine-et-Marne and Creil, in the Oise. This factory was founded for the first time 7 Prairial An V (26 May 1797) by a Parisian crystal maker, Robert Bray O'Reilly. It lasted just over a year. The development of this establishment was durably launched from 1801. In 1840 it employed 900 workers. It closed its doors in 1895.
