Lucas Postiglione (1876-1936), Luca Postiglione (born in Naples on October 18, 1876 and died August 27, 1936 in Naples) is an Italian painter, mainly portraitist and genre painter (peasant scenes and scenes of the eighteenth century) in style realistic. He also composed poems in Neapolitan dialect. He is the son of the painter of religious subjects Luigi Postiglione who dies when Luca is five years old. His older brother, Salvatore Postiglione (born in 1861), is also a painter and he is the one who teaches him his art. The uncle of Luca Postiglione, Raffaele (1818-1897), is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples2.
