"Albert Joulin (1914-1994) Pleumartin 1950"
We sold and dispersed the workshop of Albert JOULIN in 2013 consisting of +800 works of the painter. If there was to be a specialist painter, I think I would position myself. Joking aside, we are selling the last painting of the workshop. We have kept it, as a last wink to the artist that we have a little feeling to know. By dint of sort, catalog, photograph, measure, read ..... The table is a view of Pleumartin Oil on panel: 35 x 27 with its frame: 43 x 35 signed lower left In a pure style "joulanesque "the painter treats landscapes in a sober and luminous way, just as nature was self-sufficient. The painter apologizes for being present. Shy and discreet, Albert JOULIN left a testimony of his native region sober and sincere. Abandoning the representation of the human race after his captivity in a camp during World War II, he then devoted himself to the landscape. What a shame because the captive drawing book he left shows that he was talented in this register.
