Pendulum Napoleon III, circa 1860, gilded bronze, allegory of agriculture and harvest, a cherub with a wheat sheaf Demeter capped with grapes and holding a billhook, symbol of harvest, the hand resting on a plow, symbol of agriculture. On each side of the dial, in reserve in cartridge is enchassed a porcelain plate with painted decoration enhanced with gilding of putti symbolizing the works of the fields. Domed dial, enamelled, with Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes, and marked "Charpentier et Cie bronzier in Paris rue Charlot 8". Protective door with curved glass on the dial. Very nice original needles, openwork, the minute being decorated with dolphin. Movement signed Charpentier, sounding half-hours and hours in passing, protected by a glass door. Rich ornamentation of finely chiseled bronze. Original gilding in very good condition. Movement revised by our watchmaker and guaranteed a year. Length 36 cm, height 36 cm.
