Heinrich Meister (1894 in Binningen, † 1972 in Dübendorf) and Gertrud Meister-Zingg (1898 in Bern, † 1984 in Uster).
Heinrich Meister grew up in Münster, Alsace. From 1912, he studied at architecture at the ETH Zurich. There he met his future business partner, Josef Kövessi, from Debrecen (Hungary). In 1919, Heinrich Meister left his studies and began a ceramic internship at Feldmeilen's artistic pottery with Josef Kövessi. In 1920, together with Albert Meister, they founded Heinrich's uncle, the "Kunstkeramik Werkstatt A. Meister" in Stettbach, a district of Dübendorf (Switzerland). Heinrich married in 1924 with Gertrud Zingg. The company develops from 1930 to 1960 with Benno Geiger.
