"Mahogany Cylinder Desk With Showcase, Louis XVI Period"
Very nice cylinder desk, Louis XVI era, mahogany and mahogany veneer, topped with a showcase. The showcase opens with two glass doors and three drawers. Above we find a white marble, with a gallery in openwork bronze. The cylinder reveals a drawbar pull on the front and three interior drawers; rounded fluted posts. Four tapered and fluted feet. Three drawers at the waist. Golden bronzes garniture: clogs, rings, lock entrances, handles, gallery and molded chopsticks (beaded for doors, drawers and cylinder). Perfect condition, the bronzes have been re-gilt.
