"Cock"
This rooster terracotta engobe dates from the dynasty of the ancient Han, (206 BC-20 AD), and surprises us with its lines of a perfect modernity. The artist who modeled it summed up the animal as much as possible, passing on the impression of his power and his proud pride. It is again a modeling on pigeon, which better than the simple molding, allows an individualized personal expression. Thus, this animal of 20 centuries seems familiar to us.
