"Pair Of Cabriolets Armchairs Louis XVI Stamped Georges Jacob"
Pair of beech cabriolet drums, with a slightly arched medallion back, entirely carved with interlacing, the belt also carved with interlacing, the console of acotoir placed at the foot of the foot is carved of piastres and a leaf of acanthus, resting on slightly tapered feet, fluted and rudent. This pretty pair made around 1780 bears the stamp of the carpenter in Georges Jacob siege. The elegance of the lines and the finesse of the sculpture make this pair a very beautiful carpentry work in the seat. This pair has been completely restored by our workshop. The assemblies have been revised for a perfect and precise fit, then recollected and re-worked traditionally.
