"Bottle For Rose Water"
This bronze bottle was probably covered with a silver film. It is a production of workshops of Istanbul of the beginning of the 19th century. It was used to contain rose water. One can admire the roundness without defect of his pear-shaped paunch, the delicacy of his slender neck. The decoration, reduced to a few boteh, confirms the attribution at the very beginning of the century, where the purity of line remained still the best decorative finery of the objects.
