Carved wood panel. Of medallion form, it represents Marie Madeleine with the Vanity. She is lying on a braided mat holding a cross in her left hand and her right hand on a skull. The hair is undone and a gown covers it (the work of the drapes is of good quality). The whole is surrounded by a rather fat frieze with a Berain decor. This piece of woodwork period XVII th has suffered the ravages of time. The face of Mary Magdalene must surely be damaged in the French Revolution, and the panel had to stay a moment in the damp.
