Dimensions with frame 138/104 cm Out of frame 99/64 cm Léon Humbert Anthelme Dallemagne Belley 1837 - Bourg-en-Bresse 1907 He comes to Bourg-en-Bresse in 1860 to pursue a career in the judiciary. Dallemagne meets Viot, an old friend of his father, who encourages him to become a painter in view of his provisions. After a 2-year stint in François-Louis Français's studio, he sends his first work (a landscape) to the Salon in 1865. He paints landscapes of the whole department: Bresse and Dombes, Buellas where he lives for a while, Long live in Bugey where he will be mayor. He has a love for the land of the Ain that he seeks to communicate with nuance in his works.
