Augusta de Bourgade (? -1969), native of Caudéran, was a pupil of Humbert and Associate of French Artists whom she exhibited at the Salon since 1912, we learn about Bénézit. She proposed landscapes, both from the Paris region and from all of France, but also Greece, Morocco and Corsica as well as very “Art-Deco” portraits. His talent was also manifested in very modern still lifes of touch like here this flowerpot (begonias?) Accompanied by the pearly reflections of a nautilus placed next to it.Oil on canvas 61 X 46 cm from 1933, mounted in its original frame in gilded wood 69 X 54 cm. Small accident at the top as well as on the signature leaving it nevertheless clearly visible.
