Superb and elegant pair of early 20th century English candlesticks in sterling silver. They rest on a square pyramid base decorated with inclined gadroons. The rudentée and fluted column-shaped barrel is decorated at the top with a Corinthian capital with superb finesse of carving. On the base is engraved the inscription "WGC JULY 1908" on another side the English silver hallmarks as well as that of Master silversmith Richard ATTENBOROUGH Co. Ltd. Sheffield 1907.
