"Embroidery Board Silk Threads, Representing A Boat. 19th"
Gilded frame painting, embroidered with silk threads, depicting a character handling a boat of love ready to land on dry land. The background of the set, parts of the character, as well as the sentence are painted in watercolour. The black reserve of the central medallion is painted in «fixé sous verre».

Condition:
Window: very good condition.
Painting and embroidery: very good condition.
Frame: some missing parts in the decorative mouldings of the frame. Slot in the frame not disturbing when suspended. And old vermoulures.
Note that the work is held to the frame at the back by a tape.

Period: 19th century. Circa 1820. Restoration period.
Signature: unsigned.
