Santibelli Virgin Mary

Large size for this unusual santibelli. Beautiful expression of the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus. Original polychrome with some wear but very acceptable (see photos). A crack in the right arm of the Virgin but which remains solid, one foot missing from the baby Jesus. The Virgin stands on clouds accompanied by three heads of winged angels. She holds an original bouquet of white fabric flowers in her right hand and carries the baby Jesus on her left arm. These devotional objects, very present especially in the south of France, were traditionally placed on a chest of drawers in the bedroom. Manufacture in hollow terracotta as always. Note: rare model by its size but especially in the elaboration of openwork crowns, most models have full crowns. Amount of delivery: 20 € for mainland France.
