Very rare and beautiful proof in bronze Art Deco period signed Endstorfer, located and dated Wien (Vienna) 1921. Anton Endstorfer (1880-1960) Austrian sculptor. Depicts a naked woman with a hoop. The hoop is in fact the Orobouros (snake biting its tail) The wooden base contains a pendulum with rotating circles. Movement to be revised (the balance spring is broken). Special order, a stamp located under the base indicates: "Made in Austria especially for B. Altman" B. Altmann: luxury store in central New York very fashionable at that time. Magnificent and very rare collector's item!
