Very beautiful satue of Buddha from East Asia, Laos or Thailand and dating from the beginning of the XIX century. This carved wood bears remains of black paint, very worn. Wear also on the head, due to friction from devotion. The fingers of the right hand are broken, the wood is split on the right thigh. A tenon below, was to be placed on a missing base. A very beautiful onjet all the same.
