Kayseri Carpet, 106 Cm X 178 Cm, Around 1900, 1920

Magnificent Kayseri silk carpet decorated with a central gold medallion placed on a midnight blue silk field, decorated with many birds, bouquets of flowers, sheaves of gold color.
Carpet originating in Turkey in natural silk around 1900 - 1920.
The set is set with four spandrels studded with small gold flowers, then inserted in a border of the most beautiful effect incorporating all the aforementioned decorative elements and arranged alternately with bouquets of small white and blue flowers.
A thin braid runs along the border, displaying the zig zag symbol of eternity.
The natural silk for 640,000 knots per M2 of this carpet is in very good condition.
This carpet can be used as a decorative element on the floor, it has a good thickness, but in view of its great beauty, it can also be placed as a decoration on a wall.
