Jacques Gustave HAMELIN (1809-1895).
Born in Honfleur. Painter of genre scenes, portraits, interiors, still lifes, draftsman. Student of Ingres in 1831 at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Exhibitor at the Paris Salon from 1852 to 1874, as well as in Switzerland. the quality of his paintings was appreciated by E. Boudin, a native like him from Honfleur. Works in the museums of Le Havre and Honfleur.
Oil on canvas dated 1862, good condition, 55x43 cm.
