Large bronze trim with brown patina and marble, signed by James Pradier, representing Nemausa.
Nemausa is seated on a jar from which the water flows, thoughtful, a mirror in her hand. Her hairstyle is embellished with lily pads. The base in black and green marble is decorated with bronze (leaves, reeds, rushes ...) supported by 2 women in the antique style.

Nemausa was a goddess of fertility and healing belonging to the sanctuary of the source of the same name, located near Nîmes.
According to the catalog raisonné, there are several variants including this one on a pendulum.
