Jacques Bage born in Liège in 1942 is a Belgian painter, designer, pastellist, engraver. Studied at Saint-Luc and at the Academy of Mons. Ceramic training at Hornu. His landscapes are fragmented to the point of abstraction
Many prizes including: the Louis Schmidt Prize in 1981, Bronze Medal at the Prix Europe, Ostende in 1982 (Belgium).
Professor of painting and drawing at the International Summer Academy of Libramont from 1992 to 1997. (Belgium).
Painted for the Brussels metro at Gare du Midi station in 2003.
