"XVIIIth Angel Head In Carved Walnut"
Elegant 18th century angel head in carved walnut. It is presented on a patinated black marble support surmounted by a metal axis holding the sculpture on the back. The face of this sculpture represents the head of an angel, the eyes and the open mouth, covered with abundant hair and on each side there are wings spread. The quality of the sculpture is graceful and deep which gives an enormous amount of expression to the face. In some places, there are old traces of red plaster as well as 2 pieces of rope allowing the head to be fixed to the wall. Excellent general condition of origin for this decorative object of good quality.
