Beautiful finely produced work by Marseille painter David Dellepiane which represents fishermen on the banks of the Canal Saint Sébastien in Martigues. This highly realistic work was produced between 1890 and 1910 by the artist.
From an Italian family of craftsmen who settled around 1875 in Marseille. David DELLEPIANE follows the courses at the school of fine arts of Marseille where he has for master the painter Marius GUINDON, himself a pupil of LOUBON and Johanny RAVE. The artist is known and recognized for his talent as a painter, poster artist and illustrator.
Nb: A tiny little repaint, invisible, is to be noted in the sky.
