"Rosette Bir: Abstract Sculpture"
Stainless steel sculpture by the hand of Rosette Bir. Unique piece signed Rosette BIR (1926-1993) Rosette Bir studies in the studio of sculptor Albert Féraud, keeping only his technical mastery and the tangle of forms from his learning. By aesthetic choice and under the influence of the MADI current, active in South America, the artist turned to geometry. Rosette Bir uses new materials: polished stainless steel and shiny metal sheets which she skillfully folds like a Japanese "origami". This female sculptor has exhibited regularly at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles.
